Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful 2-hour boat safari along the Bentota River, and it was truly one of the most relaxing and memorable experiences we've had in Sri Lanka. From the moment we started the journey, the atmosphere was magical. The peaceful river, the cool breeze, and the natural sounds of birds all around the mangroves created such a calm and beautiful environment.
The mangrove forests were stunning, forming green tunnels along the river, and the guide explained the ecosystem very well. We were also lucky to see a crocodile resting near the riverbank, which was exciting for the whole family. One of the most enjoyable moments was feeding fruits to the playful monkeys who came close to the boat and gently took the fruits from our hands. It was such a fun experience, especially for the kids.
